Edward J. Wilkinson, MD Professor and Vice Chairman Director, Division of Anatomic Pathology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Joint Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology University of Florida College of Medicine Edward J. Wilkinson, MD, is Professor and Vice Chairman in the Department of Pathology at the University of Florida, where he also directs the Anatomic Pathology division. In addition, he directs the Histology Laboratory of Shands Hospital at the University. In a vast career spanning more than forty years, he has researched and published on cervical cancers, vulva cancers, brain tumors, and breast cancer. He has received funding from the National Institute of Health and the American Cancer Society for various research grants. He serves on numerous committees and assists in editing or reviewing many journals, including Cancer. Among the many societies he participates in, he currently presides over the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
